The Product Challenge
Explaining intricate deep-ocean engineering concepts — optical signal amplification, shark-resistant armor, transcontinental fiber-optic cables, deep-sea repeaters, global internet latency routes — in an approachable, visually stunning manner is a translation problem. The audience knows the internet; almost nobody knows it travels through undersea cables, let alone how those cables survive the ocean floor. The 55-second explainer had to make invisible infrastructure visible and keep curiosity alive from the first frame to the last, without turning into a lecture or a nature documentary.
The Production Approach
Developed a custom 3D bathymetric ocean floor visualization, so viewers descend from the surface to the seabed and watch glowing fiber optic data pulses travel the actual routes.
